Beautiful change for the new year

A dream for the new year:

I look up and see an overgrowth of leaves and branches creeping through a window and spreading across the corner of the wall and ceiling. The paintwork is bubbling and cracking from the moisture.

I think, I must get that fixed.
But then I spot the butterflies in amongst the leaves, making their home inside my house. They are beautiful and sparkling.

I forget about this dream until later in the morning. I receive a photo of my nephew kissing a butterfly, and then the dream returns.

And so my meditation for the new year: may we be open to beautiful change creeping its way in to our lives, even in the most inconvenient and unexpected of ways…internal disruption may be necessary!
